Industrial Medical Testing is a trusted provider of drug testing and occupational health services, helping businesses create and maintain a safe and drug-free workplace. They have been providing MRO services since the 1990’s and are leaders in the drug testing process industry.

They are a team of medical professionals dedicated to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of every drug test they administer so accuracy is very important. One of the key services they offer to clients is the verification of drug test results in a time efficient manner. This includes reviewing the results to determine if they are consistent with the medical explanation provided by the donor, verifying that the test was conducted according to the appropriate standards, and consulting with the donor’s healthcare provider if necessary. So accuracy and speed is very important to their business model.

Their business increased tremendously over the pandemic, and it became apparent that the manual processing of these forms was archaic. They were being inundated with emails, faxes and walk-ins with forms that needed to be processed in a timely but accurate manner. Automation was the only solution moving forward.

Enter AIP Solutions. We sat with this client and understood what the goals were needed to accomplish what they were looking for. Numerous emails would come in forms that were sometimes typed, handwritten, filled in incorrectly or had missing information. They already had a robust database system in use but needed to get this information in the database as quickly as possible. They were using Microsoft Outlook 365, so we automated the downloading of attachments using Microsoft Graph API. Once the form was downloaded, the information from the form was extracted accurately using AWS Textract and loaded into a csv file. This csv file could then be digested into their database system with excellent results.

Thousands of emails and documents were processed and entered their database system accurately and timely.
